I hear comments from people saying, “Hypnosis is mind control”, and my response is to ask “OK, which one do you think is being controlled?”  Their response is usually, “Oh, what do you mean?”


The fact is we have two minds, a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. What’s the difference? The conscious mind is your logical thinking mind, your subconscious mind is your feeling mind. Think about it, what drives you more? A thought or a feeling?


Hypnosis is not mind control because you are not unconscious, you have not lost control and you are not asleep. On the contrary, hypnosis is where you can actually gain power and control over your emotions and behaviours to help you achieve a better future.


A common misconception is, “Hypnosis will put me to sleep”, and the truth is, it actually wakes you up to the potential to become the best version of yourself that you can be but didn't know how. What are the possibilities for you to BE the person who naturally creates everything you have ever wanted to do and have?


I have clients who snore during hypnosis yet as soon as I emerge them, they open their eyes, feeling calm and relaxed and in complete control. How do they snore but remain conscious? This is because, during hypnosis, you enter a deep trance state – something you do all the time! Have you driven to work or home and paid very little attention to the drive itself? Or have you been so absorbed in a movie you lost where you are? That’s a deep trance state and when you are in this state, your conscious critical mind can move to the side and we can tap into your powerful subconscious mind, which is when we can rewire and recode your mind to create the changes you want in your life far more quickly, easily and permanently. I have clients that feel lighter, calmer, weightless, relaxed and who achieve a sense of freedom that they have been trying to achieve for a very long time.


The truth is, we cannot change our life until we change the subconscious programming that we have been running. This is the programming you have been using all your life, the one that was built and developed from a very early age and during your youth which shaped you as a person. Often, this programming is what prevents us from becoming the person we want to be, or from achieving our dreams.
